The Mini is getting new rotors, stainless steel brake lines, and Hawk HP+ brake pads! Plus $100 in lunch money for using the coupon for taking part in the track night that resulted in me needing new brakes in the first place! So much for my first paycheck from the new job.

At least parts are cheap (ish)

That’s a great way to spend a first paycheck. Might pick up some Hawks as well for the Z.

For the most part that’s true. $290 for new pads hurts though, even if they are a significant upgrade over stock.

I’m very happy with the HPS pads, HP+ will be even better. Do tell us how they perform on the street, I want something better for the next pads if possible.

I expect them to be squeaky and dusty on the street as well as not working great when cold. I’m looking forward to seeing how they perform when I autocross them on the 1st.
